Systems
Calculation systems in three cushion billiard can be very helpful for many patterns, but only when they are studied consequently and thoroughly. It is not enough to simply know the numbering, but to also know all the other parameters, like a consistent technique, knowledge about tricky zones, the respective correction values and the adaption to different tables.
Since the ball is round and the rail rubber is flexible, it is not so easy to find mathematic rules which allow for a precise calculation. Still a few creative billiard players did exactly that, first to be mentioned is Roger Conti, who gave us the Conti system.
This Conti system was refined and sometimes slightly changed. Also in this book the Conti system differs a little bit from the original, namely the numbering of the third rail and I want to invite all “Conti-specialists” to be open and try this variation which I learned years ago in Germany.
Also the other systems of this book have an inventor, unknown to me. Therefore I do not mention any names but still I want to thank them and to express my respect for their great work and ask for their understanding for small adaptions which I found very useful.
I want to encourage the reader to work through the book system by system with a pioneering spirit and if appropriate to find new strategies or simplifications, since learning is always supposed to be a dynamic process.
In any case, I wish all readers new findings and first of all to enjoy this ebook.
